Healing, Freedom, Resurrection
During a large-scale event in India, Pastor Yeshe* received word that a woman had passed away early that morning. Her daughter was a Christian; the rest of the family did not believe in Jesus but still asked for prayer. The team prayed briefly but dared hardly to hope. In the afternoon, relatives brought the body to the event and laid it in front of the lectern—in front of about 15,000 people. The preacher praised God and said, “She is alive.” Those present unwrapped the cloths that had been wrapped around the body. But at first, nothing changed. Toward evening, the family took the deceased back home. The next day, Yeshe received the news: the woman was alive again.
A Peaceful Night for the Yaks
In a mountain village lived simple yak herders. Night after night, stones flew out of nowhere and struck the walls of the stables, causing the animals to bolt in fear. Neither Buddhist monks nor a shaman who drummed all night long was able to help. Finally, Christians from Yeshe's network spent the night in the yak stable. From that moment on, the nightly attacks ceased. The villagers were deeply impressed by God's power, and many came to faith in Jesus.
Finally Able to Sleep Again
In a mountain village lived a man who was tormented by demons. He would repeatedly have demonic outbursts and become so violent that it took several strong men to restrain him.
One day, he could no longer sleep. Shamans and monks tried to help him with various rituals—to no avail. After a week without sleep, someone in the village remembered the Christians. As a result, about 200 villagers accompanied him to a pastor and two other Christians from Yeshe's network. They wanted to see if the God of the Christians was indeed more powerful.
The three Christians began by praying. Then, not knowing what to do next, they started praising Jesus with singing and a Tibetan guitar. They sang for about three hours. Suddenly, the man lost his supernatural strength. He became calm, weak, and tired. The Christians sent him home so he could sleep. For the first time in a week, he slept again—for many hours straight. The villagers were deeply moved. They had seen that neither their gods nor the shamans' rituals could help, but Jesus could. As a result, almost all the villagers came to faith in Jesus.
